One long table, by the window.

We work at one long table of pale limestone along the Norwood window: four of you on the window side, the techs opposite. You choose your colour in daylight, so the colour you pick is the colour you’ll see outside.

Each place has its own tray, towel and lamp, and each place is reset between people: fresh linen, a clean tray, the lamp wiped down, and a new file and buffer laid out for you.

What we do, and how long it takes.

Choose one, and the tip shows it

Manicure

Shape, cuticle tidy, a buff to a soft shine, and polish or a clear coat. You leave with a hand cream and dry-enough nails.

About 45 minutes $55 guide price

Pedicure

Warm water, shape, a tidy of cuticles and hard edges, then colour or a plain shine, in the reclining chair by the window.

About 60 minutes $70 guide price

Gel

Shaped and tidied, then painted coat by coat in the colour you pick, each coat set under the lamp, and finished in a glass-clear top. Dry when you stand up. Cat-eye counts as gel: we’ll hold the magnet, or you can.

About 60 minutes $75 guide price

Builder gel

A thicker gel shaped with a gentle curve through the middle, to give a short nail a longer, cleaner line. Clear, milky or in colour.

The curve sits a third of the way back, so the line looks even from the side.

About 75 to 90 minutes $95 guide price

Nail art

Painted by hand on top of any gel: dots, flowers, French lines, tortoiseshell, fine line. Bring a picture, or let us choose.

Added to gel from $5 a nail guide price

Your set

We paint by hand, so no two nails come out quite the same. Here’s roughly how a set of yours might go. Like one? Tell us the shape and the style when you save a seat.

Almond, medium, dotwork. Five nails, no two alike.

One tool’s day.

Follow this pusher. It tidied your cuticles, then it left the table. At the sink it’s scrubbed and rinsed. At the bench it’s dried and sealed in a pouch of its own. Then it goes through the steam steriliser, and it stays sealed until it’s back at a place like yours, where we open the pouch in front of you. You’ll hear it give.
